Assignment Length: Ongoing coverage need Start Date: June 15 Openings: 1 Reason for Coverage: Long-term permanent search Practice Setting: Inpatient, OR and Call coverage Average census 10​ 519-bed facility Schedule: Full-time coverage Rotating call coverage Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric EMR: Cerner Credentialing: 90 days Requirements: Active Tennessee licensure Board certification AHA BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 1-year Cardiothoracic Surgery experience or equivalent Job Responsibilities (Generalized): Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Order and interpret diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices. Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care Document patient care accurately and thoroughly Skills: Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures relevant to their specialty Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions Time management skills to efficiently manage a patient workload Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a healthcare team Requirements Education: Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program Licenses & Certifications: Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Tennessee National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Experience: While specific requirements may vary, most locum APP positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty Benefits Travel: If you reside greater than 50 miles from the facility you are eligible for travel benefits.
