Description Join Southern Nevada's Leading Cardiovascular Team Nevada Heart & Vascular Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) Supervisor to lead our CTS Coordinators and support our cardiothoracic surgery physicians. This role serves as a critical liaison between patients, providers, hospitals, and clinical staff to ensure a seamless surgical experience from consultation through recovery. Requirements Position Summary The CTS Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Cardiothoracic Surgery department, ensuring patient records, surgical documentation, and pre-operative requirements are complete and accurate. This role provides leadership, mentoring, scheduling, and support to CTS Coordinators while serving as a key point of contact for patients throughout the surgical process. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support CTS Coordinators through training, coaching, and daily oversight. Coordinate all aspects of cardiovascular surgical procedures and related documentation. Serve as the primary patient contact for pre-operative and post-operative questions and concerns. Ensure surgical charts, imaging, laboratory results, and records are complete and available for physician review. Coordinate surgery scheduling and communication with hospitals and surgical departments. Manage staffing schedules, timecard corrections, call-outs, overtime requests, and departmental coverage. Facilitate communication among physicians, patients, clinical staff, and outside healthcare organizations. Monitor department workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. BLS Certification through the American Heart Association. Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a CTS Coordinator. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare technology systems. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Preferred Previous leadership or supervisory experience. Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program. Nevada LPN or RN license.
