ANCC Magnet Recognized UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a Full-Time Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehab Coordinator to support our Cardiac Rehab department at the Cranberry location. Title and salary will be based upon education and experience. Shift Details: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm No evening or night shifts Purpose: Work independently assisting the clinical staff with patients and exercise regimens, patient interviews, doctor orders, assist front desk with patient check-ins. Assist with overall daily flow of department and patient clientele. Responsibilities: Develop and coordinate departmental in-services as well as for other medical personnel and the community. Consult physician as necessary regarding patient condition and progress in the rehabilitation program. Develop, evaluate, and implement policy/procedures to ensure safe, effective and efficient patient services. Assist in the development of quality improvement criteria to evaluate the ongoing services of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Services. Coordinate and direct the daily activities of the rehabilitation center Ensures adequate staffing to provide patient services. Determine Cardiac Rehab Center needs in regard to equipment function and departmental supply needs. Evaluate and determine patient care needs; communicate those needs with the referring physician. Conduct patient exercise sessions. Perform exercise stress testing with physician; establish exercise prescription for patient exercise session. RN license in PA, with at least 3 years of Inpatient Cardiac or Pulmonary Unit experience, ACLS required, BSN and Cardiopulmonary Rehab experience preferred OR Minimum master's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field, ACLS required, ACSM-CEP Certification or equivalent required, at least 5 years of cardiopulmonary rehab experience required. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (ASCM-CEP) OR ACSM Health Fitness Specialist Certification OR Registered Nurse (RN) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire/transfer into department/role Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Act 34 *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
