This role will be a Full Time Day Shift: Monday – Friday (flexible start time between 7am-8am) with occasional on-call weekend and holiday coverage. Sign-on Bonus & Relocation assistance eligible. Cardiovascular Sonographer 2 Job Responsibilities: The Cardiovascular Sonographer 2 administers sound patient care practices according to hospital/department policies and procedures to ensure the safety of the patients. Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of the patients and employees. Assists the physician in performing a variety of examinations using standard department protocols, isolation precautions and/or sterile techniques as evidenced by Radiologist's satisfaction. Troubleshoots equipment effectively and reports equipment to biomedical engineering/vendor, as evidenced by service reports. Performs/recognizes need for routine maintenance of echo vascular equipment for consistency of quality images, as evidenced by the physician and the exam results. Understands echo vascular principles/theory, anatomy and pathology processes utilizing the most appropriate techniques and/or positioning for optimal examinations, as demonstrated by exam results. Adheres to department policies and protocols ensuring departmental standards are met according to regulatory oversight (i.e. ICAEL). Acts as a preceptor and resource for students and echo vascular sonographers. Demonstrates advanced imaging skillsets such as 3D, Strain, contrast use and assists cardiologist with TEE studies. May perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited school/program of diagnostic medical sonography or five years of specialized training in a hospital/healthcare setting. License: One of following required upon start: ARDMS with Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) ARDMS with Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCS Certification for Echo Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with the RVS Certification for Vascular Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association upon start Experience: One year of experience after acquiring registry in a hospital/healthcare environment in the performance of cardiac or vascular sonography.
