Job Summary The Cardiovascular Tech I assists in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures under the supervision of a registered technologist or physician. This entry-level role supports patient preparation, equipment setup, and procedural assistance in a cardiac catheterization lab or vascular lab environment. The Tech I ensures adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental protocols. Essential Functions Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and equipment setup Operate basic equipment under supervision during cardiovascular procedures Maintain sterile field and assist with contrast injections and device delivery Prepare and maintain procedural rooms and supplies Document procedures, vital signs, and patient responses under supervision Transport patients and assist with post-procedure care Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular terminology Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Education High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a cardiovascular or radiologic technology program preferred Licenses/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six (6) months of hire Registry-eligible through ARRT, RCIS, or CCI preferred Experience No experience required; clinical training or externship preferred
