Description:
The London Cardiac Institute is a well-established outpatient cardiology clinic looking for a dynamic and organized team player to work evening clinics. These are typically booked from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
Duties & Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Supports physicians by completing ECGs, Stress test hookups, Holter hook-ups and Holter scanning.
- Maintains equipment by ensuring that computers and cardiovascular systems and equipment are operating properly; following operating instructions.
- Maintains quality results by evaluating diagnostic studies for quality and diagnoses.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Excellent communication skills are a requirement.
- The successful applicant will be able to manage a busy waiting room and adhere to the clinic standards for the safe performance of tests.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduation from a recognized program in Cardiology Technology
- Current registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists/Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologists (or scheduled to write)
- Able to be efficient, organize large workloads and set priorities in a busy environment
- Computer knowledge and efficiency
- Physical ability to do the job
- CPR certification
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Able to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Knowledge of patient privacy and confidentiality
