About the role
We have an opportunity within the complex needs team at Gladstone Rd resource Centre which provides exceptional and bespoke support to adults with learning disabilities and who require support with complex needs.
Gladstone Road Resource Centre Is situated close Northampton town Centre and is a dedicated service with the focus being on supporting those with complex needs.
Those who access this service (customers) are at the Centre of the support we offer. Within the role you will receive continuous training and support, not only from your management but also the team around you, who are all highly motivated to deliver the best standards of care and support.

What will you be doing?
You will work as part of a team supporting a cohort of customers with their day-to-day activities whilst accessing Gladstone Rd resource Centre.
Customers who access service follow a wide and varied range of activities to meet their physical, social and well-being outcomes. Examples of these are swimming or going to the gym. Also accessing, our local community to take part in activities such as bowling or the cinema.
When working with Customer’s, care and support is offered on a predetermined ratio of staff to Customers, this can mean supporting customers on 1-1 basis, through to supporting with smaller groups.

About you

  • You will be able to work in an ever changing environment, under pressure and possess a calm demeanor.
  • Flexibility and being able to adapt during the day are key attributes for the role.
  • Enjoy working as part of a motivated and customer centred staff team, but also have the ability to work on your own and be self motivated.
  • Be able to offer support to customers with both emotional and behavioral support.
  • The role requires people to be physically fit and active.
  • Willing to complete NVQ Level 2 in Care within 2 years.
