About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team, working within various reputable care homes. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centered care, supporting residents with their daily needs, and promoting their independence and well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility, always maintaining their dignity and privacy.
  • Support residents with their nutritional needs, assisting with meal times and feeding as required.
  • Administer medication as per care plans and training, accurately documenting all actions.
  • Engage residents in social activities, conversations, and outings to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health, mood, or behavior to senior staff promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, strictly adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Adhere to all care home policies and procedures, including safeguarding and data protection.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a Care Assistant in a care home or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for caring for others and a compassionate, empathetic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing needs.
  • A clear understanding of dignity, respect, and confidentiality in care.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A valid enhanced DBS check is essential. (We can assist successful candidates with obtaining one if required).
  • Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care) are a significant advantage.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
