OVERVIEW

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care home settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team are essential for success in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents when necessary.
  • Strong English language skills for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards residents’ needs.
  • Enhanced DBS is required.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: From £12.50 per hour
    Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Support individuals in following their personalised care plans to ensure their specific needs are met.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting their mental well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing staff.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
