JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care home settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities, implement care plans, and foster a supportive environment for those in your care.

SKILLS

  • DBS has to be on the update service
  • Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents and their families.
  • Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support individuals with mobility and movement, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Engage with residents through conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
