JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities and contribute to the development of personalised care plans, while fostering a positive and supportive environment for those in your care.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and team members.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for those required to travel between locations.
  • Familiarity with creating or following care plans is beneficial but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
  • Engage with residents through meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of care plans and progress notes in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care is provided.
  • Drive to clients’ homes as required, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to all road safety regulations.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
