Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for an experienced and passionate Care Assistant to join our award-winning team at South Africa Lodge. South Africa Lodge is a 99-bed service providing high quality care across 6 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are currently rated GOOD with CQC.

ABOUT US

Cornerstone Healthcare provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.
Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.
We currently have 3 services based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, & Mytchett with 2 new services set to open in Bristol and Birmingham in 2025

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Supporting all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes and social activities

  • Observe resident progress against planned goals and report changes in the residents’ condition or care needs
  • Supporting all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes and social activities
  • Helping residents to remain as independent as possible
  • Respecting residents right of choice, privacy and dignity at all times
  • Communicate effectively with other staff and members of the team
