We are currently recruiting for Day Carers at Oulton Abbey Care Home.
Contracted Hours / Permanent / Part-time
· Hours: 18-24 Hours Per Week
· Day Shifts: 7:45am - 19:45pm
· Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour

We are recruiting for part time care assistants to join our friendly and hardworking team. Assisting our residents with daily living, providing support and companionship to make a difference every day.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, kind and compassionate individuals to provide an excellent standard of care to our residents.
You’ll need to be caring and have empathy, with a can-do approach and excellent communication skills. Previous care experience is preferred but we will provide all the support and training you’ll need to succeed.

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive exceptional care and support. You’ll help them with their daily routines, promote independence, and ensure their overall health and happiness are prioritised every day.

  • Follow and support each resident’s personalised care plan
  • Assisting residents with washing, dressing and oral hygiene
  • Observe and record residents’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff
  • Assisting with meals and drinks to support our resident’s overall nutrition
  • Foster positive relationships with each resident, their family, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • Supporting the Seniors/Nursing staff and the Home Manager with jobs as necessary
  • Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of residents
  • Completing all relevant paperwork and documentation correctly and in a timely manner
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns
