WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, kind and compassionate individuals to provide an excellent standard of care to our residents.
You’ll need to be caring and have empathy, with a can-do approach and excellent communication skills. Previous care experience is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ideally, 1 year of previous care experience (preferred but not essential)
  • A genuine passion for helping others and providing high quality care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to undergo training and continuous development
  • Reliability, empathy, and a patient nature
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are currently recruiting for Day Care Assistants to join our dedicated and compassionate care team. In this role, you will provide day to day support to residents, helping them maintain their routines and enhancing their quality of life through kind, respectful, and attentive care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Day Carer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our residents with their daily routines and overall well-being. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Following individual care plans to provide tailored, person-centred support
  • Assisting residents with washing, dressing and oral hygiene
  • Monitoring and recording residents’ physical and emotional health, and reporting any changes to senior staff promptly
  • Assisting residents with meals and drinks to support our resident’s overall nutrition
  • Building warm, respectful relationships with each resident, their family, and visiting professionals.
  • Assisting Senior Carers, Nurses, and the Home Manager with tasks as needed
  • Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of residents
  • Accurately completing care documentation in a timely and professional manner
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns
