At Amora Care, we are committed to “walking the walk”, and we do that by offering better pay, better training and better opportunities. This is what you get:
BETTER PAY - Our full time carers make £27-32k per year. Our rates start from £13.65 per hour AND you get paid £12.50p PLUS 50p per mile while driving.
Say you did one call from 8-9am, drove 30min (10 miles), did another from 9.30-10.30am, drove another 30min (10 miles) and did a final call 11-12.
Most companies will pay you for 3 hours and 30-40p per mile. So you will get say £16 per hour X 3 (£48) and 20miles X 40p = £8, total £56
At Amora you will get 3x 13.65 care hours = £40.95, 1 hour X £12.5 driving = £12.5, AND 20miles X 50p = £10, total £63.45!
The bottom line is, with other care companies, the more you drive the more you lose!
BETTER TRAINING - You will get a lot of support from our management team. We also have an in-house trainer, and you will receive a combination of in-person, on-the-job and online training. If you encounter something you’re not familiar with, we’ll get training for it and roll it out to the entire team!
BETTER OPPORTUNITIES: Whether it’s getting your NVQs (we currently have 4 staff members on their L3!), progressing to leadership positions within the company or something else, we’re there to support you!
