Job Title: Care Assistant
Location: Ifield Park Care Home, Crawley
Reports to: Senior Carer / Care Home Manager

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a care or support role.
• A caring and compassionate nature.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

JOB PURPOSE

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being at all times in accordance with Ifield Park Care Home’s values and regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
• Emotional Support: Build positive relationships with residents, showing empathy, patience, and respect.
• Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to senior staff.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records in line with CQC requirements.
• Safety & Hygiene: Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, following infection control procedures.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to deliver the best care possible.
• Activities & Engagement: Encourage and assist residents to participate in recreational and social activities to enhance their quality of life.
