We are looking for two care assistants for permanent positions at Helsinki SOTEPE's Roihuvuori Senior Center and Jakomäki Service Center! Would this be a new job for you where you can utilize your care assistant training with the elderly?
At our senior centers and service homes, we value the qualifications and expertise of care assistants. The values of senior centers are genuine encounters, the joy of life, and well-being of staff. Care assistants are an important part of this whole.
The positions currently available are at Roihuvuori Senior Center and Jakomäki Service Center. In Jakomäki Service Center, the care assistant will work at the Usva group home for people with somatic illnesses, which has 26 resident places.
All of our residents are elderly people with multiple illnesses, many of whom have a diagnosis of dementia. Residents use various mobility and transfer aids. In both teams, you will work in a multidisciplinary manner, including community nurses and nurses, occupational and physiotherapists, cultural and social counselors, to promote the clients' everyday life through communal meals, and above all, to meet our elderly clients individually and with respect for their life history. When working with us, you can also utilize your own hobbies with clients (e.g. music, crafts, nature) if you wish.
The duties of a care assistant include:
• basic nursing care
• assisting clients with daily activities
• various home care tasks
• supporting residents' communal meals
• going out with residents and enabling them to participate in house events.
Registration takes place in the Apotti customer and patient information system. Care assistants work in the morning or evening shifts, also on weekends.
We expect from you:
• training as a care assistant
