JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking HealthCare Assistant, compassionate and dedicated to join our Domiciliary Care team in March. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, respect and well-being is upheld. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively with other team members. 2 years experience is desirable and preferred. Previous experience in moving and handling, personal care is desirable and a genuine compassion to help others. Must have the ability to use your initiative, work effectively and independently. The successful candidate must possess strong organisational skills and excellent communication abilities to speak with the elderly.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in senior care, dementia care, or patient care is highly desirable.
• A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications is an advantage.
• Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, home support and medication management. Not limited to just these activities.
• Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Monitor clients’ health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and care provided.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Be attentive, reliable and trustworthy.
• Drive clients to appointments or social outings as/if required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while providing care.
• A full enhanced DBS will need to be obtained.
