With our dedicated Care Home Manager, Tracey, leading the way for over 10 years, we are committed to providing excellent care and support to both residents and staff.
We are seeking Night Care Assistantwho can provide exceptional, person-centred care while ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents during the night hours. You’ll play a crucial role in creating a calm and secure atmosphere, allowing residents to rest and receive the support they need through the night.
RESPONSIBILITIES AS A NIGHTTIME CARE ASSISTANT INCLUDE:
Conducting regular safety checks and responding promptly to residents’ needs.
Assisting with night-time personal care routines, including repositioning residents and ensuring their comfort.
Monitoring health conditions and documenting any changes or concerns overnight.
Preparing for the day shift by ensuring residents are ready for the morning, including assisting with hygiene and dressing.
Supporting residents who may experience restlessness or require emotional reassurance during the night.
Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in communal areas and resident rooms.
Preparing meals or drinks for residents as needed during the night.
Participating in training and staying informed about best practices for night care.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
A compassionate and attentive nature, with a focus on creating a secure and restful environment.
Ability to work independently while maintaining close communication with the team.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills to identify and address residents’ needs overnight.
Experience in care or healthcare is desirable, particularly in night care, though training is provided.
Physical stamina to handle night-shift duties, including assisting with mobility and repositioning.
Reliable transportation or the ability to commute to Longridge Hall for night shifts.
