This part-time role involves assisting with personal care, mobility, and manual handling, supporting with meals and hydration, and helping people with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and toileting. You will observe and report changes in individuals’ wellbeing, follow care plans, and maintain accurate records. The Care Assistant will also offer emotional support, promote dignity and independence, and work closely with colleagues, families, and other professionals to ensure safe, high-quality care. Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends, may be required.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong caregiving skills, including experience or interest in personal care and Dementia Care.
Candidates should possess safe Manual Handling skills and an understanding of mobility support and basic health and safety.
Candidates should possess effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills to build trust, listen actively, and collaborate with colleagues and families.
Relevant experience in care, health, or social care settings is beneficial; a care-related qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) is an advantage.
Candidates should possess reliability, empathy, patience, and the ability to follow care plans and policies, including safeguarding and confidentiality.
A willingness to undertake training, including mandatory care and manual handling training, and eligibility to work in the UK are required.
