Job Description

Spencer Care and Staffing Limited is recruiting Care Assistants to support care services across Taunton.

We have a growing number of regular, pre-booked and last-minute shifts available. This role is ideal for experienced care workers looking for flexible hours and the opportunity to choose shifts around their availability.

Your Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support
• Assisting individuals with personal care where required
• Supporting mobility and daily living activities
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting with meals and hydration
• Following individual care plans and risk assessments
• Maintaining accurate care records
• Promoting dignity, independence, choice and respect
• Reporting any concerns or changes in an individual's wellbeing
• Working professionally with permanent care teams and other healthcare professionals
• Following safeguarding, infection control and health & safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Care Assistant or Healthcare Assistant is preferred
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible shifts
• Right to Work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete the required checks
• Relevant mandatory care training
