We are a residential care home for the elderly 65+. We are well established within the community and offer a home from home service.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ACCOUNTABILITY. Accountable to the Manager.

Must be patient, want to help the elderly, be punctual, reliable, honest and loyal.
Shift work is necessary in order to ensure that Residents have round-the-clock care and attention.
To be clean and thoroughly hygienic in habit and clothing (uniform).
Day by day routine includes-
Assisting Residents with dressing, washing, bathing and toilet needs.
Undertaking simple nursing duties.
Bed making, tidying of rooms and laundry duties.
Being able to make simple meals and serve them.
Encouraging residents who are able, towards independence.
Participating as required in organizing social activities and entertainment.
Recognizing the obvious needs of residents and if necessary reporting them to the Manager.
Recognising the privacy of the Residents.
Working alone or with the rest of the Staff to ensure a good team spirit overall.
It is very important that the Care Assistant is pleasant and sympathetic at all times and that all duties carried out should be aimed at ensuring a better ‘quality of life’ for the residents in their care.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
