As a Health Care Assistant, you will support people with day-to-day care in a care home or home care setting. You will follow individual care plans, communicate respectfully and help each person maintain comfort, dignity and independence.

Duties

• Assist with personal care and everyday activities, adapting your approach to each person’s needs and preferences.
• Follow care plans, observe changes in wellbeing and share relevant updates with colleagues.
• Keep care records accurate and handle personal information sensitively.
• Your impact: Clear updates help colleagues provide consistent support and help people feel safe and understood.

Skills

Required: You can communicate clearly in English, listen with patience, follow care plans and record information accurately using basic IT. You can work respectfully with people receiving care and share relevant observations with colleagues. Preferred: Experience in a care home or home care setting is helpful, as are driving capability and confidence communicating with people with varied needs. These strengths can support responsive, coordinated care across different settings.

Pay: £25,420.00-£36,120.00 per year
