OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in care home settings. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality care while ensuring the comfort and dignity of those you assist. This position requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to drive to various locations as needed.

  • Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in health status.
  • Drive to patients’ homes as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of patients.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required.
  • A valid driving licence is necessary for travel between patient locations.
  • Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is essential.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and patient needs is highly valued.
