JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nepalese-speaking Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. A driving licence is preferred for this role, as it may involve transporting clients to appointments or activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to drive is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
  • Familiarity with creating and following care plans is an advantage.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.

    Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 37.5 per week

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Follow individual care plans to ensure personalised support for each resident.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Support residents in engaging with social activities and maintaining their independence.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
