Care Support Worker – Care Homes

Pay Rate: £14.43 per hour including holiday pay

Location: Kingsdown Road, , Swindon, , SN3 4TD

Job Type: Agency / Temporary / Flexible

Shift Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends & Bank Holidays

Hours: Full-time, Part-time and Flexible Shifts Available

About the Role

We are currently recruiting Care Support Workers to work in care homes, nursing homes and residential care settings across Heatherwood, Somerset, Swindon and Kent.

We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care and supporting residents with their daily needs, wellbeing and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans.
• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility, transfers and repositioning, in line with training and care plans.
• Assist with meals, eating and drinking where required.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Encourage residents to maintain their independence and participate in activities.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate daily records and care documentation.
• Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and confidentiality procedures.
• Work effectively with nurses, senior carers and care home management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home, nursing home, residential care or supported living environment is desirable.
• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• Understanding of person-centred care, dignity and safeguarding.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Relevant care qualifications or training are desirable.
• Enhanced DBS may be required depending on the placement.
