As a Care Coordinator / Administrator, you’ll play a vital part in supporting our high-quality, patient-centred care by acting as the link between patients, clinicians, and our wider healthcare team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We’re seeking a team member with a strong understanding of general practice administration. Ideally, you will have experience within general practice. If you’re detail-oriented, organized, and ready to make a meaningful impact, this role is for you!
The role will provide support for the triaging clinician by care navigating patients to the correct services and booking patients into appropriate slot types. In addition to this they will be completing administrative tasks as listed above.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Essential
· NHS / Primary Care (GP Practice) experience
· Excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT skills (MS Office)
· GCSE Grade A–C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
· Strong communicator with good attention to detail
· Organised, self-motivated, and discreet with confidential information
· Able to remain professional under pressure
· Flexible, resilient, and team-oriented
· DBS check required
Desired skills
· Familiarity with EMIS, DOCMAN, ERS
· Understanding of GP administrative systems (referrals, coding, Care Coordination)
· Prior experience with patient registrations and care review processes

ABOUT US
The Tutbury Practice is a rural GP surgery located in Tutbury, serving patients from nearby areas such as Rolleston, Hatton, and Stretton. Our practice has a patient population of just over 8,500. Our clinical team includes two GP partners, four salaried GPs, a GP Registrar, a clinical pharmacist, a nurse practitioner, and an experienced nursing team, all supported by a friendly and dedicated admin and reception staff.

WHY THIS ROLE?

- Cancer care reviews/ Cancer care MTD meetings
- CHS booking appointments
- Coding and summarizing patient records
- Navigating patient care with Accurx Triage
- Supporting patients with additional care needs
MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
· Manage patient registrations and deductions
· Coordinate cancer care reviews and MDT meetings
· Book baby immunisations and check ups
· Admin support for the nursing team
· Monitor and code immunisations and vaccinations
· Maintain the Carers Register
· Handle GP2GP transfers and email correspondence
· Support colleagues by covering administrative/reception roles in times of need
· Culling, coding and summarizing patient records
· Administration support for the Accurx Triage clinician
