Stallcombe House is a residential care setting for 33 adults set within 55 acres of organic gardens and working farm on the outskirts of Exeter.
Are you passionate about home-style cooking and making a difference every day?
Stallcombe Community is looking for a dedicated Cook to join our friendly team, creating nutritious and delicious meals for our residents.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing balanced, tasty meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
  • Planning menus with variety, seasonality, and nutrition in mind.
  • Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Working alongside care staff to make mealtimes a positive, social experience for everyone.
  • Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times within the kitchen and food storage area in line with Safer Food Better Business guidelines.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working as a cook (ideally in a care or community setting).
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate desirable).
  • A caring, patient nature with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of others.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to cook wholesome meals from fresh ingredients.
  • experience of preparing and cooking meals in a similar environment
