Orchard Care South West LTD operates Pine Lodge, a residential care facility dedicated to creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our residents. We prioritize a relaxed environment where politeness and respect are integral to daily life, especially for those with dementia.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Gardener/Maintenance to join our team at Pine Lodge. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and gardens, ensuring a beautiful and serene environment for our residents. Also, supporting with 1-2 days a week maintenance tasks around the home, such as decorating and general works to ensure the safety and running of the home. Your work will contribute significantly to the overall well-being of those we care for.

• Maintain and enhance the gardens and outdoor spaces of Pine Lodge.
• Perform regular groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, and planting.
• Irrigate plants and manage watering schedules to ensure healthy growth.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various gardening tasks.
• Assist in landscape maintenance projects to improve the aesthetic appeal of the facility.
• Monitor plant health and address any issues related to pests or diseases.
• Decorating around the home

• Day to day safety of the home being maintained.

• Requirements
• Proven experience in gardening or groundskeeping is essential.
• Knowledge of plant care, irrigation techniques, and landscape maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
• Good communication skills to work effectively within a team.
  The role is for one day a week gardening, and 1-2 days a week Maintenance this can be discussed at interview and may vary week to week based on the tasks requiring completion.. The skills and knowledge around household maintenance and care home compliance would be advantageous. This position can be self employed or employed.
