TLC Care are looking for an experienced Care Services Manager whose role is to assist the Home Manager in supervising the day-to-day care needs of residents, ensuring excellence in clinical practice and personal care provision. When the Manager is away from the Home the Care Services Manager will take responsibility for the day to day running of the Care Home ensuring that all Company policies and procedures and legal requirements are adhered to. The role will include regular auditing and the training and development of care team members, as well as maintaining excellent relationships with residents, relatives and visitors to the home.

Other duties will include:

  • Carrying out risk assessments and risk management
  • Working with GPs and other external healthcare professionals to ensure residents care needs are met
  • Recruitment and selection of Nurses and care team members
  • Appraisals, supervision and support for Nurses and care team members
  • Care Home budget management

Requirements

  • Minimum NVQ Level 4 in care management
  • Willingness to strive for ‘good practice’ and to achieve and maintain flag ship status within the Home
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel to a good standard
  • Previous Care Home management/supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Able to work individually or part of a team
  • Genuine interest in working with the relevant Client group
  • Satisfactory DBS checks
  • Good written and communication skills including fluent English
  • Evidence of legal eligibility to work in the UK
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Experience of financial management of Care Home
