An exciting opportunity is here in our home care company, Guardian Angel Carers Mid Sussex. We are looking for an ambitious, dedicated, and organised person to join our team as our Care Supervisor and Trainer.
We are looking for a people person, proactive, experienced care supervisor and trainer, who has excellent communication skills, good experience in the home care / care industry, and has a level 3 qualification in Health and Social care. Somebody who perhaps is looking for a new challenge, new start and wants the support the growth of a brilliant home care company.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Full UK Driving License with Business Use Insurance
  • A minimum of 2 years experience of hands on care
  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a senior member of the office team
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care
  • Care Certificate
  • Client focused strive for outstanding care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent soft sales skills
  • Confidence using care management software systems
  • Excellent time management, diary management, planning skills
  • Mentoring skills and strong ability to work within a team and build rapport
  • Well organised, close attention to detail, positive, can-do attitude
  • Understand importance of audit, accurate data entry and making plans
  • A good attitude, empathy and understanding to complex situation and be solution focused and good at problem solving

Responsibilities
  • Manage new client assessments, produce excellent detailed bespoke care plans and be able to communicate effectively about this to the entire team.
  • Manage contracts, consent to care and other important paperwork onboarding new clients.
  • Support the coordinator and manager to ensure smooth scheduling of new clients, and planning our capacity for the appropriate work force required.
  • Carrying out formal client reviews, so that we know we are delivering safe, effective, and well led services.
  • Work in a proactive manor demonstrating initiative and thinking outside the box to ensure the care we provide exceeds even your own expectations.
  • Managing concerns or complaints from clients and their family members effectively and efficiently with a compassionate and solution focused attitude and with the ability to diffuse difficult circumstances.
  • Exemplify and support the behaviour of our team to uphold our values; to be compassionate, professional, friendly, reliable and to ensure excellent quality in all we do and say.
  • Supporting our CareAngels throughout their careers with us, ensuring their training and learning is up to date alongside managing the team leader.
  • Supporting shadow shifts and ensuring CareAngels are competent and confident in their work and have a good understanding of the practical application of our policies and procedures alongside managing the team leader.
  • Utilise assessments, complete skills reviews, carry out flying visits and organise 121 supervisions, ensuring mentorship, development and learning for our CareAngels alongside the team leader, which is essential for us to deliver outstanding care.
  • Providing continued assessments of our clients’ needs at every visit, taking responsibility for communicating with the team, supporting any changes to requirements.
  • Producing and managing audit reports and liaising closely with the registered manager and care coordinator to ensure the continued delivery of our excellent service.
