KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To carry out and assist clients of The Private Care Company with a variety of personal and practical care tasks including assisting with attending appointments and leisure activities as specified on each care plan
  • To support client’s food and fluid intake as directed by the care plan, and to ensure documentation of all intake as per training
  • To maintain care skills at the required level and undertake such training and development as may from time to time be required
  • To communicate with and report any incidents to the Care Manager as necessary to ensure high standards of care are delivered
  • To liaise with other professionals such as district nurses, doctors, pharmacists, occupational therapists etc, to ensure that clients receive a high standard of care
  • To provide support to the Care Manager with staff supervisions, training, risk assessments, client reviews and assessments and to offer ongoing support to the care team
  • To provide occasional assistance with office administration and answering the phone
  • To carry out any other duties which may be reasonably requested by the Registered Manager or Care Manager

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

  • The Care Certificate
  • Significant prior experience as a Care Assistant, ideally in a senior role
  • Experienced in delivering more complex care
  • Experienced in multi-skilled care delivery
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems such as Office, Excel, Word, Outlook and the ability to learn and use computer software
  • Extremely well organised and professional
  • Very good written and oral communication skills
  • A full clean UK driving licence and own call essential
