JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing care to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes and senior care facilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and promoting independence while delivering high-quality patient care.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in nursing home or senior care settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of meal preparation and dietary requirements for various health conditions.
• Ability to provide patient care with empathy and respect for individual dignity.
• Experience in behaviour management strategies, particularly for clients with dementia.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
• Capability of performing heavy lifting as required by the needs of the clients.
• A caring attitude towards children may be beneficial for those working in family-oriented environments.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in health or social care are advantageous but not essential.

• Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Support individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments through behaviour management techniques.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, ensuring that all areas are tidy and hygienic.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Document client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate professionals.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalised care plans.
