JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients, particularly those requiring specialised care such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, and hospice care.

SKILLS

The successful candidate will possess a variety of skills including:

• Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care settings.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, and general patient care practices.
• Proficiency in caregiving techniques and first aid certification is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours with empathy and patience.
• Competence in meal preparation that caters to dietary needs.
