SALARY: £12.25 PER HOUR
New Outlook has been providing housing and care services to people with sensory impairment across the West Midlands for over 170 years.
Chatham Place is an Extra Care Sheltered Housing scheme that provides 24-hour specialist care and support to vulnerable adults aged 55+ with a sensory impairment and other complex needs.
A position has opened at Chatham Place for an experienced Care & Support Worker. We are looking for someone with lots of energy and a can-do attitude, someone who can interact well with service users, has good communication skills both verbal and written, has a caring nature and good work ethic, and works well as part of a team or lone working. Due to service user’s requirements, we will only accept applications from female candidates.
Previous experience in a care/support worker role is essential. Duties include: being flexible, caring, and willing to undertake ongoing training as required, providing personal care, administering medication, assisting with activities, shopping, laundry duties, maintaining accurate records and documentation, domestic tasks where required, being flexible, caring, and willing to undertake ongoing training as and when required.
There is a 2-week rolling rota in place for mornings and evenings. You will be expected to work 7-hour shifts which are 7am-2pm and 2pm-9pm, on weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, where applicable.
You must be able to work 35-hours per week, without visa restrictions. You will also need to provide enhanced DBS clearance, together with evidence of your Right to Work in the UK.
