This is a Full-Time position (80 hours per pay period) with an 8-hour NIGHT shift located at our Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. Assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collect data, and ensure the patient has a safe, organized environment. Assist with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician. Support the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties. Required: Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English. Excellent interpersonal skills. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider Preferred:: Multiple patient care skills preferred. Prefer one year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities.

Responsibilities

The Care Team Assistant provides direct patient care, assists with activities of daily living, and maintains a safe clinical environment. They also support the unit with logistics, clerical tasks, and equipment management under the direction of a clinician.
