CARE TEAM LEADER (NIGHTS)

Location: Astley View Care Home, Chorley, Lancashire
Pay: £15.00 per hour / £30,030 per annum (base) / up to £32,760 with paid breaks*
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 38.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 8:00pm – 8:00am, two-week rolling rota

  • Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun
  • Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Significant experience in a similar setting, with a solid understanding of dementia and elderly care.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising and appraising staff.
  • Knowledge of medication management and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Evermore Care is seeking an experienced Care Team Leader to join our dedicated night team at Astley View a luxury care home in Chorley. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the care team, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for residents. The position requires you to oversee and coordinate the care team during night shifts, provide leadership, training, and supervision, and act as the main point of contact for any issues that arise in the absence of the home manager.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and supervise the care team throughout the night, ensuring effective handovers, providing support at all times, and being a positive role model, leading by example.
  • Manage night rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels and appropriate skill mix.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the home management team, addressing concerns promptly.
  • Conduct and lead nightly team meetings, providing feedback and support to staff.
  • Oversee medication management, including the receipt and administration of medications.
