JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Team Leader to support the smooth running of a residential care service in York. This is a part-time role (30 hours per week), working supernumerary on the floor and covering alternate weekends. You will work closely with the Home Manager, leading by example and ensuring residents receive the highest standard of person-centred care.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience as a Team Leader, Senior Carer, or similar supervisory role in care.
• Good knowledge of care sector regulations and compliance.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Team-focused approach with a passion for delivering excellent care.
• Flexibility to work alternate weekends.

• Support the Home Manager with daily operations and step in when required.
• Complete assessments, admissions, and reviews for residents.
• Maintain and update care plans and risk assessments.
• Administer, order, and check medications.
• Carry out audits to ensure quality and compliance.
• Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and support training/development.
• Oversee rota planning and staff coordination.
• Lead the care team on the floor, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
