JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with specific care needs, such as Alzheimer’s and dementia.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as senior care, hospice care, or nursing home experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and first aid is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs of clients.
  • Valid driving licence may be required for roles involving transportation of clients.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A compassionate attitude towards caring for others and a commitment to providing high-quality support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Provide patient care tailored to individual needs, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times.
  • Support medication administration and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for residents.
  • Assist with heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies for residents with challenging behaviours.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the appropriate personnel.
