OVERVIEW

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the well-being of clients, which includes adults and children and assisting with daily activities to enhance their quality of life.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a care setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with individuals requiring care, especially those with dementia or behavioural challenges.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to the changing needs of residents.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or care work are advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
  • Support clients in daily activities and encourage their independence.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Monitor and document changes in ‘clients’ health and behaviour, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist with heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs, including those with dementia, Autism and challenging behaviour.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other care professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
