What you’ll be doing in this role

  • You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
  • Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
  • Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and
  • Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Who we’re looking for

  • Ideally, you’ll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification. If you’re not qualified and would like to be, we can help you get there.
  • You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you’re studying or have recently become qualified.
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.

We’re looking for a calm, organised and people-focused Village Manager to join our team for 3-3.5 days per week. Can be across 5 days if preferred.
This is a rewarding, community-facing role supporting the wellbeing and satisfaction of residents – and helping create a harmonious, well-run and welcoming village environment.
Your new role
As the on-site Village Manager, you’ll be the friendly and capable go-to person for residents, staff and contractors. You’ll manage the day-to-day operations of the village, build strong relationships with residents, coordinate maintenance and service teams, and ensure that all compliance and safety requirements are met.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Providing respectful, person-centred service to Retirement Village contract holders.
  • Supporting residents’ wellbeing, independence, and sense of connection.
  • Liaising with the Asset and Housing teams to coordinate maintenance and refurbishment works.
  • Managing records, correspondence, and reporting using Uniting systems.
  • Helping foster an inclusive, respectful, and harmonious village culture.
  • Participating in budget planning and supporting annual meetings with residents.
    What you’ll need to succeed
    We’re looking for someone who brings the right attitude, presence and care to this important role – formal qualifications and experience are helpful, but not essential. If you’ve worked in a retirement living, housing or community-based environment – even in an administrative or support role – and you’re ready to step up, we’d love to hear from you.
