JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role involves working in various settings such as assisted living facilities, home care environments, and other care settings.

SKILLS

• Experience in senior care or home care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
• Ability to drive is beneficial for providing transport to appointments or outings.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and first aid practices.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the clients.

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
• Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Document care provided and report any significant changes in client health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Support clients with dementia through specialised care techniques tailored to their needs.
