We provide essential in-home care to older people who need help so they can stay living independently at home. That means delivering aged care services based on individual's needs.
This makes our work interesting with our day's consisting of different people and varying care services like social support, helping with housework, driving to appointments, doing personal care, administering medication, making meals and more. qualifications:
- Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent
- Previous 6 month's work experience in providing care and services in the community
- Proven attention to detail when providing services to our participants
- Ability to communicate effectively with our participants
- Demonstrated ability to carry out the physical requirements of a Care Worker
- National Police Clearance meeting the requirements of the Aged Care Act (less than 3 months old)
- Flexibility and availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week (currently No Evenings or Weekend work required)
- West Australian Driver’s licence
- Well maintained vehicle and Third-Party Vehicle insurance
- Computer literacy with demonstrated knowledge/understanding of electronic Customer information systems
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care
- Willingness to work within Southcare’s Purpose and Values
