The Skills Connect service is seeking a Career Coach who will be responsible for working with individuals, helping them achieve their full potential by assisting participants into a new career, training or education.
The average person in the UK spends around 3,507 full days in work – Skills Connects aim is to make sure those days make the residents we support feel happy and fulfilled.

Skills Connect is delivered by local councils across the West of England. By joining the team as a career coach you will be responsible for a caseload of participants working with them for 3 to 6 months to:

• Support your participants to create a career action plan
• Explore career progression opportunities with your participants
• Help with employability tools and skills such as CVs, personal statements, applications and interview techniques
• Help to build confidence and motivation of your participants
• Provide information and advice on other services
• Signpost to specialist support including training, money, benefits, counselling and self-employed business support
