Description Career Coach Full Time Chicago, IL National Able Network, a dynamic and growing nonprofit agency specializing in the delivery of innovative employment and training programs, has an immediate opening for an experienced full time social service professional to assist with the administration of the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). The Career Coach (SCSEP) works with a team to deliver employment services including assessing barriers to employment and employment goals, delivering effective training and support, referring to outside agencies for other services (as appropriate), providing job search assistance and working with local companies to identify employment leads, and supporting employment with retention services to clients/participants. Will also collaborate & partner with positions such as: Office managers, Quality professionals, Training professionals and others to meet the needs of clients and participants. Responsibilities: Conduct the recruitment, orientation, intake, assessment and individual employment plan development of participants Monitor program participants’ progress in skills development and job search activities on a monthly basis Must maintain accurate, current and complete documentation of case notes on all interactions with assigned program participants Determine supportive service needs and advise program participants on all services for which they are eligible Research and identify potential employers regarding job opportunities aligned with client caseload needs Serve as a liaison to program participants and agency training sites to answer questions; resolve problems/concerns and ensure a productive training/employment experience for all parties involved Engage in community outreach efforts to raise awareness of the needs of older workers, recruit new program clients and host agency training sites Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills Must be adept at developing rapport, interacting effectively, and when necessary, resolving conflicts with diverse personnel Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Superior problem-solving and organizational skills along with high attention to detail and consistent reliable follow- through Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and achieve performance metrics Energetic, adaptable team player who can work collaboratively as well as independently Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social services, psychology or related field from an accredited university preferred OR 6 years of relevant coaching or case management experience in the field 2 years of experience in social services, counseling, job development or related field with an employment focus, ideally in an employment/training setting and/or working with seniors Benefits: Competitive Medical, Dental and Vision benefits Company-sponsored Short-Term Disability / Basic Life and AD&D insurance Paid Time Off up to 25 days based on 40 hour work week Generous Holiday Pay including 15 holidays throughout year 401(k) w/Company Match of 3% dollar-for-dollar, .50 cents on dollar up to 4-5% Tuition Reimbursement Employee Loyalty Benefit: Additional 10 days of PTO after every 5 years of FT service Interested candidates should submit a resume with cover letter and salary expectations EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
