2-year, full-time fixed term opportunity – Secondment Backfill Lead a dynamic team delivering impactful student career programs Base Salary $126,065 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity We are seeking a Career Development Manager to lead a team of Career Development Officers in delivering innovative and strategic career development programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students. This role plays a key part in shaping the student experience and supporting their transition from university to the workforce. You will contribute to strategic planning and ensure alignment with the University’s broader educational and employability goals. Your key responsibilities will be to: manage and support a team of Career Development Officers to deliver high-quality services collaborate with faculties to identify student employability needs and deliver tailored programs develop and maintain a suite of career development services, including workshops, counselling, and online resources evaluate and enhance existing services based on student feedback and industry trends maintain strong relationships with employers and industry to ensure program relevance contribute to marketing and promotion of services across the University benchmark programs against national and international best practices support strategic planning and may act in the Centre Director’s role when required. About you tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrated experience in career counselling and program development in a tertiary education setting proven leadership and staff management experience strong understanding of career development theory, labour market trends, and graduate recruitment practices excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives in a complex environment experience working in a culturally diverse environment and applying inclusive practices.
