Transforming Your Experience is WSLHD’s key strategy to positively transform how our patients, consumers, staff and communities experience our organization and services. Our vision is that our care is always safe, high quality and personalized and all our staff are supported and empowered to achieve their full potential. This strategy provides us with a clear direction for working together to deliver safe and high-quality health services and build the health of our communities – now and into the future.
To provide high quality medical care to inpatients in the Intensive Care Unit (the unit is currently accredited for C24 CICM training) under the direction of the Duty Intensivist responsible for the inpatients. To assess inpatients in the remainder of the hospital whose condition is deteriorating and who possibly require transfer to the Intensive Care Unit. CICM Trainees or equivalent experience welcome to apply.
The CMO provides high quality experienced clinical service to the Intensive Care Department. The personal development aim is to develop the skills and knowledge needed to operate independently as an Intensive Care Department medical practitioner. This can be achieved through structured and supervised observation of, exposure to, and management of patients, as well as participation in ICU education and quality assurance activities.
