Role Detail
We are currently looking for a detail orientated Paralegal to join our Dispute Resolution team and provide support to Partners Jasmine Forde and Emma Costello and their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role has a focus on matter management and client interaction, involving consistent engagement with our valued clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paralegal looking to expand their responsibilities and assume a greater role in Dispute Resolution.

The key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Managing documents through sorting, numbering, photocopying, and indexing
  • Organising and extracting documents for discovery, including barcoding, delimiting, and scanning
  • Reviewing discoverable documents with a focus on legal coding, review, and masking
  • Attending document inspections as required
  • Compiling legal documents such as Briefs, Affidavits, Court Books, and Appeal Books
  • Providing support to barristers during case preparation and court proceedings
  • Handling deliveries and attending court as needed
  • Ensuring quality control for all completed work to maintain high standards
  • Archiving documents systematically for easy retrieval
  • Proofreading documents to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Performing data entry tasks with precision
  • Conducting research to support documentation and case preparation
  • Searching and retrieving information via databases

About You

  • Prior legal experience, whether work experience or academic
  • Experience drafting legal documents for Dispute Resolution teams, as well as handling general correspondence
  • Excellent attention to detail, document management and collation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and document management systems similar to iManage
  • Understanding of billing procedures within a legal setting
  • Ability to analyse, problem solve and apply appropriate use of judgement
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, choosing an appropriate style for their audience
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
