OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience abroad as well as in teaching and leadership at universities and research

institutions

  • Management and personnel management skills including skills in the areas of gender and

diversity management, as well as inclusion and accessibility in communication

  • Expertise in one or several of the following fields: Classical conservation genetics, genome-

wide analyses of adaptation patterns at the population, species or community level, eDNA

including the corresponding analyses

  • Experience with high-throughput genotyping
  • Experience in the related data analyses

Responsibilities:

  • Research in the field of Biodiversity research with a focus on evolutionary and ecological

conservation genetics

  • Research on classical conservation genetics and on methods of biodiversity monitoring

including eDNA metabarcoding

  • Molecular genetic analyses of populations, species and species communities and their

adaptation patterns

  • Collaboration with the molecular biodiversity research group at the institute during the

qualification phase, and willingness to collaborate with the BOKU Core Facility

Bioinformatics

  • Teaching and supervision or co-supervision of final papers within the scope of legal

possibilities

  • Transfer of knowledge and the promotion of junior researchers in line with the social

responsibility of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences

  • Assumption of administrative tasks within the framework of university self-administration
  • Acquisition and management of competitively funded national and international research

projects
