POSITION SUMMARY
Provides strategic leadership in the design, implementation, and evaluation of career development curriculum and educational initiatives that prepare students and alumni for career success. Ensures that career education is integrated into the academic and co-curricular experience, aligning with institutional goals and the evolving needs of employers and the workforce. Supervises college Career Consultants and Assistant Directors to provide consistent and relevant career services within academic programs and departments.
CURRICULUM AND CAREER EDUCATION
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a Master’s degree in education, business, human resources; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in counseling/advising, teaching including career curriculum design and implementation, career programming, and public speaking; familiarity with budgets, project management techniques; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Exceptional public speaking skills and ability to motivate others; relationship cultivation and management abilities and demonstrated collaborative skills; experience working with technology solutions and innovations; experience working with unique student populations and an energetic commitment to student success; excellent communication, grammar, writing and editing skills; demonstrated behavior competencies: achieving results, building trust, effective interpersonal communication, job/organizational knowledge, excellent problem solving/judgment, productivity, commitment to continuous quality/process improvement, initiative/leadership, encourages teamwork/cooperation, and ability to lead change.
