CASS’s mission is to achieve positive student outcomes by implementing a data-informed and metric-driven holistic academic experience for UNEX students from pre-enrollment to post-graduation. Working under the direct supervision of the Career Services Manager, this position will develop and deliver career services, programs, and resources for students and alumni. It will also focus on enhancing employer relations to optimize job placements for graduates. The Career Services Specialist is an entrepreneurial-minded career services professional with excellent communication and critical thinking skills and a curiosity for innovation in career services in continuing education. The role will be instrumental in expanding career programming, supporting employer relations efforts, and assisting in employment outcomes and reporting goals. Thus, the position will significantly impact the implementation and shaping UCLA Extension’s strategic priorities. The Career Services Specialist must possess a broad knowledge of various career functions, including advising, job market trends, and industry relations, to effectively serve a diverse student population. A strong understanding of the needs of adult learners and non-traditional students, with the ability to advise them, is preferred.
